Land Council Information Meeting - July 14, 2016 2:00 p.m.
Meeting was called to order by Marilyn Pierce. Members present were Marilyn
Pierce, John Anderson, Tammy Hampton, Bob Keeney, Lynda Schweikert, Linda
Gebhard and Louise Ketterer. Also in attendance were Joyce Roling, Personnel
Director and Chris Colney of SWWRPC. Motion was made by John Anderson and
second by Bob Keeney to approve the minutes of the meeting of July 8, 2016.
Motion carried.
Discussion was held regarding Title for John Anderson’s position. We were in
agreement to change it to GIS Specialist. The duties of the job were discussed with
Chris Colney presenting job duties from surrounding counties. The duties were for
GIS Coordinator; GIS Analyst; GIS Specialist. The Committee agreed upon suggested
changes to the Nature of Work as well as Minimum Qualifications, Education and
Experience necessary. Also, agreed upon were the suggested changes in
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Essential Functions and Supervision Received. Joyce
will be updating the Job Description per the Committees’ requests and getting a
draft to the Committee ASAP. It was discussed as to placement of the GIS and Tax
Lister in the County Clerk’s Office and Supervision received by County Clerk. It was
determined to leave it as is at this time.
Motion was made by Jeff Anderson to change the job title to GIS Specialist and to
change the job description as determined by the Committee. Also to recommend
to the Executive Committee the position be moved to a higher rate of pay from
Grade 13 to Grade 15. There will be no need for additional funding for the balance
of the 2016 year, as funds will come from Land Information carry over account.
Second was by Lynda Schweikert. Motion carried.
