HomeMy WebLinkAboutLand Info 08.25.21 minutesLAND INFORMATION COUNCIL August 25, 2021 The Land Information Council met on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson Street, Lancaster, WI, Room 264, Second Floor. Members present: Robert Keeney, Shane Drinkwater, Andrea Noethe, Carrie Eastlick, Tonya White, Tammy Hampton, Nate Tranel and Lynda Schweikert. The meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m. Tonya White verified that the meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law, posted at the Administration Building, Courthouse and on the county website. Agenda: The agenda was approved. Minutes: Lynda Schweikert, second by Carrie Eastlick made a motion to approve the minutes from the July 28, 2021 meeting. Motion carried by voice vote. Remonumentation update: Jay was unable to attend the meeting. He does have tie sheets that need to be dropped off. Discussion on mapping data updates including GeoLynx: There was no update at this time. Discussion and possible action on GCS/Land Nav updates: Carrie Eastlick explained that the cost does include everything that is currently being used. The cost also includes training. Lynda Schweikert will inquire about the Conservation module. Carrie Eastlick will set up a demonstration in the near future. Discussion and possible action on Fidlar for Register of Deeds Office: Fidlar will handle all online inquires and it does integrate with GCS/Land Nav. Discussion and possible action on the Address Point Layer: Karla Schwantes has been working on election updates and has noticed several address points that are inaccurate. Bob will follow up with Chris to discuss the issues. Discussion and possible action to update ArcGIS system: The transition to ArcGIS Pro has been started. This will be a slow process so Nathan Tranel and IT can learn along with the process of loading the software. 2022-2024 County Land Information Plan: The projects that have been completed need to be updated in the plan and add the projects that have been discussed. At some point Carrie Eastlick would like to scan old tax rolls and Tammy Hampton would like to digitize the highway maps and make them available to the public. Data Sharing Protocols: Regional Planning would like to enter into an agreement regarding data sharing. Robert passed out the agreement for everyone to look at and discuss at a future meeting. Election of Officers: Robert Keeney nominated Lynda Schweikert for Land Information Officer. Tonya White, second by Andrea Noethe made a motion to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Lynda Schweikert. Motion carried by voice vote. Lynda Schweikert nominated Tonya White for Recorder. Robert Keeney, second by Carrie Eastlick made a motion to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Tonya White. Motion carried by voice vote. Other Land Information Discussion: Robert Keeney spoke about the redistricting process. Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned to the call of the Chair.
