February 23, 2012
A special meeting of the Grant County Highway Committee was held on Thursday,
February 23, 2012 in conference room 266 in the Grant County Administration
Building in Lancaster, Wisconsin.
Vice Chairman Donald Splinter called the meeting to order at 8:00 A.M.. Also
in attendance were Mark Stead, Vern Lewison, Highway.Commissioner David Lambert,
Personnel Director Joyce Roling, County Board Chairman John Patcle, and Highway
Department Office Manager Donna Bohnenkamp. Margaret Ruf and Pat Schroeder asked
to be excused.
Joyce Roling certified that the meeting was in compliance with the open meeting
law by being posted at the Administration Building, Highway Office, on the County
website, and sent to the media.
Mark Stead, seconded by Vern Lewison, moved to approve the agenda as printed.
Motion carried.
Mark Stead, seconded by Vern Lewison, moved to enter into closed session per
State Statute 19.85 (1)(c) regarding Accounting Assistant employment interviews.
A roll call vote was taken with Splinter, Stead, and Lewison all voting yes.
Motion carried.
Mark Stead, seconded by Vern Lewison, moved to come out of closed session and
return to open session. Motion carried.
Donald Splinter, seconded by Vern Lewison, moved to offer the Accounting
Assistant position to Candidate one and if they decline the position to offer
it to Candidate two and if they decline the position to offer it to Candidate
three. Motion carried.
Mark Stead, seconded by Vern Lewison, moved to adjourn at 10:08 A.M..
Motion carried.
