HomeMy WebLinkAboutMay 22 Hwy MinutesHIGHWAY COMMITTEE MEETING May 22, 2014 A special meeting of the Grant County Highway Committee was held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 in room 266 of the Administration Building in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Chairman Donald Splinter called the meeting to order at 12:45 P.M.. Members present besides Chairman Splinter were Mark Stead, John Patcle, Vern Lewison, and Highway Commissioner David Lambert. Also present was Personnel Director Joyce Roling and Mike Bartels. Grant Loy arrived at 12:48 P.M. and County Board Chairman Robert Keeney arrived at 12:50 P.M.. Notice of the meeting was sent to the newspaper and radio station and the agenda was posted at the Administration Building and Highway Office. John Patcle, seconded by Vern Lewison, moved to approve the agenda as printed. Motion carried. Mark Stead, seconded by John Patcle, moved to enter into closed session per Wisconsin State Statute 19.85 (1)(c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility as it relates to employment interviews. A roll call vote was taken with Splinter, Lewison, Stead, Patcle, and Loy all voting yes. Motion carried. The time was 12:46 P.M.. Mark Stead, seconded by John Patcle, moved to come out of closed session and return to open session. Motion carried. The time was 2:33 P.M.. Grant Loy, seconded by John Patcle, moved to offer the two mechanic positions to candidates one and two, and if either declines the position, to offer it to candidate three. Motion carried. Vern Lewison, seconded by Mark Stead, moved to adjourn at 2:34 P.M.. Motion carried. Respectfully submitted, Mark A. Stead, Secretary
