HomeMy WebLinkAboutHighway Minutes-April 15 2019HIGHWAY COMMITTEE MEETING April 15, 2019 The Highway Committee of the Grant County Board of Supervisors met on Monday, April 15, 2019 in room 266 on the second floor of the Grant County Administration Building in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Chairman John Patcle called the meeting to order at 8:45 A.M.. Other members present were Mark Stead, Donald Splinter, Lester Jantzen, and Dwight Nelson. Also present was Personnel Director Joyce Roling and County Highway Patrol Superintendent Larry Kirschbaum. Highway Commissioner David Lambert arrived at 8:50 A.M.. Notice of the meeting was sent to the media and the agenda was posted at the Administration Building and Highway Office. Motion by Lester Jantzen, seconded by Dwight Nelson, to approve the agenda as printed. Motion carried. Motion by Dwight Nelson, seconded by Donald Splinter, to enter into closed session per Statute 19.85 (1)(c) regarding employment interviews -Section Patrol/ Operator -Operator position. A roll call vote was taken with Stead, Splinter, Jantzen, Nelson, and Patcle all voting yes. Motion carried. The time was 8:47 A.M.. At 9:30 A.M., a motion was made by Mark Stead, seconded by Donald Splinter, to come out of closed session and return to open session. Motion carried. Motion by Donald Splinter, seconded by Lester Jantzen, to offer the Section Patrol/Operator-Operator position to candidate choice one and that if he declines the position to offer it to candidate choice two, pending reference checks on both. Motion carried. Motion by Lester Jantzen, seconded by Dwight Nelson, to adjourn at 9:31 A.M. to Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 9:00 A.M.. Motion carried. Respectfully submitted, Mark A. Stead, Secretary
