March 12, 2020
The Highway Committee of the Grant County Board of Supervisors met on Thursday,
March 12, 2020 at the Highway Office in Lancaster, Wisconsin.
Chairman John Patcle called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M.. Other members
present were Mark Stead, Dwight Nelson, Donald Splinter, Lester Jantzen, fand Highway
Commissioner David Lambert. Also present was Jake Mawe, Jesse Werner, Kerry Everson,
Jeff Hagge, Cord Yager, Rhonda Davis, Mike Bartels, Jason Schams, Alex Beckius, and
Luke Servais. Joining the Committee later in the meeting were Robert Keeney, Larry
Kirschbaum, Todd Riebau, Travis Kramer, Ryan Simmons, Dan Devault, and Nick Walker.
Notice of the meeting was sent to the media and the agenda was posted at the
Administration Building and Highway Office.
Motion by Lester Jantzen, seconded by Dwight Nelson, to approve the agenda as
printed. Motion carried.
Motion by Donald Splinter, seconded by Dwight Nelson, to approve the minutes of
the February 13, 2020 meeting as printed. Motion carried.
Motion by Donald Splinter, seconded by Lester Jantzen, to accept the February
Highway Accounts Payable Report as reviewed by the Committee. Motion carried.
For the month of January 2020, Grant County is over the RMA budget by $42,159.00
with $278,335.00 being spent on the State Highway System in Grant County.
The 2020 culvert bids were opened and were -as follows:
Contech Construction Products Total bid package price $96,486.00
Metal Culverts, Inc. Total bid package price $96,264.00
Motion by Mark Stead, seconded by Donald Splinter, to accept the low bid for
2020 culverts from Metal Culverts, Inc. for $96,264.00. Motion carried.
The bids for pulverizing were opened:
WK Construction Middleton $16,747.50
The Kraemer Company Plain $16,037.02
Motion by Mark Stead, seconded by Dwight Nelson, to accept the low bid for
pulverizing from The Kraemer Company for $16,037.02. Motion carried.
