August 21, 2024
The Grant County Executive Committee met on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at the
Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson Street, Lancaster, WI 53813 in Room 266, Second Floor.
Members present: Joseph Mumm, Roger Guthrie, Robert Keeney, Kathy Kopp, Gary Northouse and Gary
Ranum. Rick Sanson asked to be excused. Others present were Tonya White and Nate Dreckman.
The meeting was called to order at 11:30 a.m. by Chairman Robert Keeney. Tonya White, County Clerk
verified the meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law, posted in the Administration
Building, Courthouse and on the county website.
Agenda: Roger Guthrie, second by Gary Ranum made a motion to approve the amended agenda.
Motion carried by voice vote.
Closed session per state statute 19.85(1)(c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or
performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has
jurisdiction or exercises responsibility as it relates to the Finance Director/County Auditor interviews:
Joseph Mumm, second by Gary Northouse made a motion to convene to closed session. A roll call vote
was taken with six (6) in favor of convening to closed session. Motion carried. Chairman Keeney asked
the committee members to allow Nate Dreckman to participate in the interview process. The committee
approved Nate to stay for the interviews.
Return to Open Session: Roger Guthrie, second by Kathy Kopp made a motion to return to open session.
Motion carried by voice vote.
Action on closed session items, if any: Roger Guthrie, second by Gary Ranum made a motion to offer in
person interview to the candidates discussed in closed session. Motion carried by voice vote.
Adjournment: Joseph Mumm, second by Kathy Kopp made a motion to adjourn. Motion carried by voice
vote.
