August 23, 2024
The Grant County Executive Committee met on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 2:45 p.m. at the
Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson Street, Lancaster, WI 53813 in Room 266, Second Floor.
Members present: Robert Keeney, Joseph Mumm, Gary Ranum, Kathy Kopp and Roger Guthrie. Gary
Northouse and Rick Sanson asked to be excused. Others present were Tonya White and Nate Dreckman.
The meeting was called to order at 2:45 p.m. by Chairman Robert Keeney. Tonya White, County Clerk
verified the meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law, posted in the Administration
Building, Courthouse and on the county website.
Agenda: Kathy Kopp, second by Gary Ranum made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion carried by
voice vote.
Convene to closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. sec 19.85(1)(c) considering employment, promotion,
compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental
body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility as it related to the Finance Director/County Auditor:
Joseph Mumm, second by Roger Guthrie made a motion to convene to closed session. A roll call vote
was taken with five (5) in favor of convening to closed session. Motion carried. Chairman Keeney asked
the committee members to allow Nate Dreckman to participate in the interview process. The committee
approved Nate to stay present for the interview.
Return to Open Session: Kathy Kopp, second by Gary Ranum made a motion to return to open session.
Motion carried to voice vote.
Action on closed session item, if any: Joseph Mumm, second by Kathy Kopp made a motion to offer the
candidate the compensation package as discussed. Motion carried by voice vote.
Adjournment: Roger Guthrie, second by Kathy Kopp made a motion to adjourn. Motion carried by voice
vote.
