EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
January 13, 2011
The Executive Committee of the Grant County Board of Supervisors met on Thursday,
January 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Room 266 of the Administration Building, Lancaster, WI.
The meeting was called to order by Chair Robert Keeney. Other members present were John
Patcle, Mark Stead, Stephen Adrian, and Patrick Schroeder. Larry Wolf and Ivan Farness asked
to be excused. Therefore a quorum was present.
Stephen Adrian, seconded by Patrick Schroeder, moved that the meeting is in compliance with
the open meeting law. Motion carried without negative vote.
Mark Stead, seconded by John Patcle, moved to approve the agenda with Attorney Fees moved
to follow the Finance Director’s Report. Motion carried without negative vote.
Patrick Schroeder, seconded by Mark Stead, moved to approve the minutes of the December 14,
2010 meeting as printed. Motion carried without negative vote.
Finance Segment
Louise Ketterer presented the Treasurer’s Report for December. John Patcle, seconded by
Patrick Schroeder, moved to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried without negative
vote.
Nancy Scott reviewed the preliminary December Revenue and Expenditure Reports. John
Patcle, seconded by Patrick Schroeder moved to accept the Revenue/Expenditure Reports.
Nancy Scott reported on the status of 2010 wage and tax reporting, audit, and Springbrook
implementation. Implementation is now scheduled for mid-April.
Employee Relations Segment
The committee reviewed the labor attorney fees and budget as of December 2010.
Mark Stead, seconded by Steve Adrian, moved to approve the Orchard Manor request to
authorize a start range for Dietary Supervisor between A-minimum to A6 with the final start rate
to be determined by the Administrator and Personnel Director based on knowledge, skills,
abilities and experience. Motion carried without negative vote.
Patrick Schroeder, seconded by John Patcle, moved to approve the Orchard Manor request to
increase the rate of pay of the Maintenance Supervisor from the B minimum step to step B2
effective January 1, 2011, due to the change in job duties and exemption status. Motion carried
without negative vote.
Staffing Update
Joyce Roling discussed the staffing report for this past month. Total Grant County Employees
as of January 12, 2011, are as follows:

Mark Stead, seconded by Steve Adrian, moved to go into closed session regarding state statute
19.85 (1) (c) (e) and (g) regarding personnel matters, contract negotiations and conferring with
legal counsel. Roll call vote resulted in a carried motion.
Mark Stead, seconded by Steve Adrian, moved to return to open session. Motion carried without
negative vote.
Mark Stead, seconded by John Patcle, moved to adjourn to February 3, 2011, at 12:00 p.m.
motion carried without negative vote.
