Notice of the meeting was posted in the Grant County Administration Building, Grant County Courthouse, and Grant County website. Motion by Jeff Kindrai, seconded by Judge Day, to approve the Agenda as posted. Motion carried without negative vote. Motion by Lisa Riniker, seconded by Judge Day, to approve the Meeting Minutes of April 4, 2023. Motion carried without negative vote. Treatment Court – 2022 Procedural Fairness Reports Kristin Schier discussed and reviewed the 2022 Treatment Court Procedural Fairness Reports. Observations and Recommendations of Grant County OWI Court Site Visit 3/30/23 Kristin Schier discussed and reviewed the Observations and Recommendations of the Grant County OWI Court Site from 3/30/23. Kristin went through the Recommendation Summary and highlighted the improvements recommended by the Department of Justice and how they have already been implemented in the program. CJCC MEETING Minutes June 6, 2023 OWI Court Handbook Amendments Kristin Schier discussed and reviewed the proposed amendments to the OWI Court Handbook. Jeff Erickson, along with Judge Day, explained why the handbook revisions were being brought to the CJCC for consideration. Robert Keeney made a motion to adopt th e revised OWI Court Handbook. Jeff Erickson seconded the motion. Motion carried without negative vote. Driver’s License Restoration Program Judge Day informed the council that on line training has been scheduled for June 13 at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom, and there are 11 individuals signed up. Deb Reukauf asked if there will be a procedure for referrals. Judge Day noted that is a good question and the need to have further discussion on this. Judge Day encouraged agencies that are receiving the training to think about the population they will be serving. This item will be on the August agenda for an update and further discussion. CJCC National Standards Gary Ranum reminded the council of the training webinar June 27 and noted that currently Craig Reukauf, Robert Keeney, and himself have signed up. He encouraged all members to participate in the webinar and noted the training will be recorded. Gary discussed giving everyone a chance to attend the webinar. This matter will be on the August agenda for further discussion. Open Discussion Gary Ranum opened up the discussion. Council members had questions in regards to the opioid settlement and asked that discussion be on the August agenda. Jeff Kindrai noted his department’s concerns with the rise in Hepatitis C and HIV. Kristin Schier reminded the council of the drug court graduation set for June 15 and highlighted the graduate’s accomplishments. Motioned by Jeff Kindrai, seconded by Debra Reukauf, to adjourn.
