EDUCATION/FAIR COMMITTEE MEETING
Monday, July 18, 2011
9:00 a.m.
UWEX Conference Room
Lancaster, WI
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Steve Adrian. Present, in addition to Chairman Adrian were
Bob Keeney, Vince Loeffelholz, Lester Jantzen, Grant Loy, Ted Bay, Dolores Schwantes, Carla
McAndrew, Kevin Kelley, Angie Day, Chasity Bennett, Megan Graney, Pat Kwallek, Darrell Haskins, and
Jerry Patterson.
The meeting notice was posted at the Extension Office, Youth & Ag Center, Administration Building and
media by Jenny Belscamper.
Motion by Pat Schroeder, seconded by Bob Keeney, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Vince Loeffelholz, seconded by Lester Jantzen, to approve the minutes of the meeting held July
1, 2011. Motion carried.
Grounds and maintenance report was given by Carla McAndrew.
Ted Bay presented Grant County Extension and Youth & Ag Center business.
Motion by Vince Loeffelholz, seconded by Lester Jantzen to pay Youth & Ag Center and Extension
vouchers. Motion carried.
Dolores Schwantes presented Fair and Fairgrounds business.
Discussion of newspaper ad was held.
Motion by Pat Schroeder, seconded by Bob Keeney to accept the Moris Newspaper Corporation of
Wisconsin fair advertising proposal for $991.50. Motion carried.
Discussion of fair history with the Ambassador Club was held.
Motion by Lester Jantzen, seconded by Vince Loeffelholz, to approve Fair vouchers. Motion carried.
Discussion was held on fair entertainment.
Motion by Pat Schroeder, seconded by Bob Keeney to enter into agreement with Southwest Wisconsin
Pullers LLC for the 2011 Grant County Fair. Motion carried.
Motion by Pat Schroeder, seconded by Lester Jantzen to adjourn until August 1, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.
Adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
