Present, in addition to Chairman Adrian were Bob Keeney, Vince Loeffelholz, Lester Jantzen, Pat Schroeder, John Patcle, Ted Bay, Dolores Schwantes, Carla McAndrew, Joel Ames and Bob Middendorf. Lafayette County Agriculture and Extension Education Committee members Leon Wolfe, David Hammer, John Bartels, Bob Boyle, and Jack Wiegel, and Lafayette County Extension Office Faculty members Mary Knellwolf, Ela Kakde and Jennifer Russell attended the meeting in the afternoon. The meeting notice was posted at the Administration Building, Extension Office, Youth & Ag Center, and media by Jenny Dixon. Motion by Bob Keeney, seconded by Vince Loeffelholz, to approve the agenda. Motion carried. Motion by Lester Jantzen, seconded by Vince Loeffelholz, to approve the minutes of the meeting held October 17, 2011. Motion carried. Carla McAndrew presented grounds and maintenance report. Ted Bay presented Grant County Extension and Youth & Ag Center business. Discussion was held on the size of the Agricultural & Extension Education Committee. Motion by Pat Schroeder, seconded by Lester Jantzen to downsize the Agricultural & Extension Education Committee from six members to five members. Roll call vote. Lester Jantzen – yes, Bob Keeney – yes, Vince Loeffelholz – no, Pat Schroeder – yes. *Chair Steve Adrian did not vote. Motion carried. Dolores Schwantes presented Fair and Fairgrounds business. Joel Ames was present to discuss Classsy Chassis Car Club at the Fair. Motion by Pat Schroeder, seconded by Bob Keeney, that Classy Chassis be at the 2012 Grant County Fair on Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. for a cost of $300 with car occupants admitted to the fair free. Motion carried. Motion by Vince Loeffelholz, seconded by Bob Keeney, to reduce Steinback rental fee for Eckstein Exhibit Hall by $50 because they are required to be out a ½ day early for clean up to accommodate the next event. Motion carried. Joanne Lange, Southwest Opportunities, can use tables and chairs in November same as they have in the past. Motion by Vince Loeffelholz, seconded by Lester Jantzen to send the livestock claim from Lancaster Veterinary Clinic in the amount of $986.35 on the full county board. Motion carried. Recess at 11:50 a.m. for lunch. Reconvened at 1:13 p.m. Lafayette County Ag & Extension Committee members and faculty attended the meeting to discuss a memorandum of understanding between Grant and Lafayette Counties. Lafayette County needs regarding Dairy & Livestock and Crops & Farm Management education areas were discussed. Motion by Vince Loeffelholz, seconded by Lester Jantzen to approve the Memorandum of Understanding with Lafayette County. Motion carried. Motion by Pat Schroeder, seconded by Vince Loeffelholz, to adjourn until November 21, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Motion carried.
