EDUCATION/FAIR COMMITTEE MEETING

The meeting was called to order by the Committee Chairman John Patcle. Present in addition to Patcle
was Vince Loeffelholz, Pat Schroeder, Grant Loy, Roger Guthrie, Larry Wolf, Amy Olson, Bev Doll,
Steve Braun, Jack Johnson, Steve Zabel, Jackie Edge and Chuck and Lynn Waterman. Bob Keeney was
absent. He on the grounds with Ben Brancel, Wisconsin Secretary of Ag.
The meeting notice was posted at the Administration Building, Extension Office and Youth & Ag Center
and media by Amy Olson.
Motion by Grant Loy, seconded by Roger Guthrie, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Jack reported a concern about the antique tractor placement. Carnival was up yesterday. Changes to the
Catch A Calf contest will include having a larger pen. Use of saw dust or shavings for the Muttin’ Bustin’
in the future will be decided. Use of goggles may be helpful. There was an issue with wireless connection
on the fairgrounds. The closing time for the foodstand is suggested to be midnight with discretion
regarding the crowd.
