Meeting was called to order by Chairman John Patcle. Present in addition to Chairman Patcle
was Bob Keeney, Mark Stead, Dan Timmerman, Roger Guthrie, Grant Loy, Patrick Schroeder,
Amy Olson, Joe Krantz and Marissa Vesperman
Meeting notice was posted in the Fair & Extension lobbies and at the County Administration
building and sent to media and paper.
Motion by Mark Stead, seconded by Dan Timmerman to approve the amended agenda. Motion
carried.
Discussion was held in regards to the Demo Derby and Night of Destruction at the 2015 Grant
County Fair. Joe has proposed an increase in payment for the two events he puts on. This would
be another 3 year contract term under this new proposal. We discussed different options in
regards to this. Amy will be putting together a counter proposal for Joe and will be meeting
again after convention.
Marissa Vesperman brought information to the board on having a Rodeo at the 2015 Grant
County Fair. Both Cory Check and Rice Bull Riding are only available Wednesday or Thursday
night of the fair. Further discussion was held on this and the board would like to look into it as a
possibility. Amy will make contact with Cory Check and we will talk to Rice Bull Riding at
convention.
Motion by Roger Guthrie, seconded by Grant Loy, to approve sending the livestock claim from
Lancaster Veterinary Clinic in the amount of $409.00 to be paid in full on to the full county
board. Motion carried.
Motion by Roger Guthrie, seconded by Pat Schroeder to adjourn. Motion carried
