Lieurance, Steve Adrian, Sarah Hopkins, Brian Heinrichs, Brenda Schnieder and Amy Olson.
The meeting notice was posted in the Administration Building, Extension Office, Youth & Ag
Center and media by Amy Olson.
Motion by Mark Stead, seconded by Dan Timmerman to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Discussion was held on the fair rodeo put on by T&C Rodeo. Amy passed around an email from
Talton regarding pay outs with the break downs that were given. Some contestants were
concerned of how T&C paid out that evening. Further discussion was held in regards to having it
again in 2016.
Discussion took place regarding the Dairy Cheese Sale at the fair. Parents had concerns of how
the eligibility process was selected. The Dairy Cheese Sale started in 2001 with 4 kids and has
now grown to 12 with many rules for being selected. After further discussion Bob Keeney will
reply back to the family and it will be addressed at the next Livestock Auction Committee
Meeting.
Discussion was held about the Classy Chassis Car Show at the fair. Amy informed the board that
Joel Ames is coming to the next fair board meeting.
Seating in the grandstand and race track area was discussed. We need to have more room for
people walking in the grandstand and more room for seating on the track during events. Also,
the portable bleachers need to be replaced. Amy contacted JW Industries (Miller & Associates)
and Steve will be coming to our next board meeting. Discussion was also held on the blankets
that are put down in the grandstand prior to events.
Discussion on the Grant County Fair Food Stand under the grandstand. Dan Timmerman was in
charge this year and had some recommendation for next year. Dan picked up supplies this year
and coordinated other purchases with Brian Lucey (Gooch’s Greenhouse). Brian has offered to
continue getting supplies for us next year.
Motion by Dan Timmerman, seconded by Roger Guthrie to adjourn. Motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Amy Olson
Grant County Fair Manager
