EDUCATION/FAIR COMMITTEE MEETING

The meeting was called back to order by the Committee Chairman John Patcle. Present in addition to
Patcle was Bob Keeney, Mark Stead, Pat Schroeder, Grant Loy, Roger Guthrie, Jack Johnson, Deb
Reukauf , Kory Stalsberg, Chuck and Lynn Waterman, Jackie Edge, Steve Braun, and Amy Olson.
The meeting notice was posted at the Administration Building, Extension Office and Youth & Ag Center
and media by Amy Olson.
Motion by Mark Stead, seconded by Grant Loy, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Carnival was up yesterday. Contract with Calkin’s Midways for 2016 and 2017 was discussed. Motion
made by Pat Schroeder, seconded by Dan Timmerman to have Calkin’s Midways as our carnival for 2016
and 2017. Motion carried.
Chuck Waterman informed us that next year he is bringing an old ride that his family used when they
started the carnival business. Discussion was to base our theme next year around this.
Jack Johnson reported no problem other than a couple of dogs on the grounds.
Deb Reukauf reported an arrest that took place on grounds. It had nothing to do with the fair.
Jackie Edge reported that everything at this point has run really smooth. We will revisit the waivers that
are getting signed and are not getting signed by volunteer fire and ems workers.
Steve Braun was concerned with Demo and Night of Destruction spectators on the track. The bleachers
were moved back farther this year.
Kory Stalsberg, Dairy and Livestock Agent went through the load out schedule.
Suggestions for next year fair were to offer a NA Beer and also to look into an ATM on grounds by the
office.
Motion by Mark Stead, seconded by Dan Timmerman to adjorn to September 28, 2015. Motion carried
