Joint Meeting of Grant, Lafayette, Iowa and Green Counties
Monday, June 28, 2016 at 2:00 a.m.
Town Bank, Darlington, Wisconsin
Grant County Committee members present were John Patcle, Grant Loy, Mark Stead, Dan Timmerman,
Mike Lieurance and Bob Keeney. Grant County faculty present were Bev Doll, Ted Bay, Kory Stalsberg,
Charisse Orth and Donna Peterson. Roger Guthrie was excused.
The meeting notice was posted at the Administration Building, Extension Office, Youth & Ag Center,
media and the county website by Jenny Dixon.
Matt Hanson, Southwest Region Director, facilitated discussion with Agriculture and Extension
Education Committee Members of Grant, Iowa, Lafayette and Green Counties along with UW Faculty
members to explore ideas and options to provide coverage with gaps in program area coverage.
Topics included:
- Looking at the vacancies in the four counties
- Reviewing how Grant and Lafayette share agents between counties
- Discussion on the current programmatic needs and priorities of the counties, how they are being
addressed and how they assist other counties
- Discussing if the needs and priorities can be met with current resources
- How costs might be shared and what savings would be realized by participating counties
Motion by Mark Stead, seconded by Dan Timmerman, to adjourn. Motion carried.
