UWEX Conference Room
Lancaster, WI
Sunday
August 20, 2017

The meeting was called back to order by the Committee Chairman Roger Guthrie. Present in addition to
Guthrie was Bob Keeney, John Patcle, Mark Stead, Mike Lieurance, Grant Loy, Dan Timmerman, Jack
Johnson, Steve Braun, Deb Reukauf, Barb Larke, and Amy Olson.
The meeting notice was posted at the Administration Building, Extension Office and Youth & Ag Center
and media by Amy Olson.
Motion by Dan Timmerman, seconded by Mike Lieurance, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Barb reported that the carnival was up on Saturday and turned their financial statement to Amy Olson.
Jack Johnson and Steve Braun reported on a lady that was in the Eckstein Building when the robotics
demonstration was going on. The robot apparently ran over her toe and she was complaining of being in
pain and that it ruined her shoe. She was seen by Steve Braun and refused treatment but still filed a report
with the police.
Bob Keeney expressed that we need to add more lime in the middle of the alley in the Livestock Barn.
The exhibitors were brushing away fines which left a hole in one area and one of the superintendents fell.
She is okay but we need to work on the middle alley to improve the walk way.
Deb Reukauf reported that everything has been running smooth.
Discussion was held on Night of Destruction attendance. We will sell 1800 tickets only at this event to
help the seating capacity. Saturday’s truck and tractor pull went well with 116 hooks in 4 hours. South
Central will reimburse the fair $500.00 for a class that didn’t happen.
Motion by, Mike Lieurance, seconded by Grant Loy to adjourn to August 29th at 1pm. Motion carried
