HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes March 21 2017 AGRICULTURE AND EXTENSION EDUCATION/FAIR COMMITTEE MEETING Tuesday, March 21, 2017 Room 266, Administration Building 9:30 a.m. The meeting was called to order by Committee Chairman Roger Guthrie. Present, in addition to Guthrie were John Patcle, Mark Stead, Grant Loy, Dan Timmerman, Mike Lieurance and Bob Keeney, Dwight Nelson and Ron Brisbois. The meeting notice was posted at the UW-Extension Office, Youth & Agriculture Center and mailed to media and Administration Building by Lori Vesperman and posted on the website by the Grant County Clerk’s Office. Motion by Grant Loy, seconded by John Patcle, to approve the amended agenda. Motion carried. Ron Brisbois, Grant County Economic Develop Director, presented the Revolving Loan Application for 3 Rings LLC, Muscoda. The loan is for $60,000 at a rate of 2.75% for a term of 10 years. Collateral will be a mortgage lien on building/property, 2 acres w. 3,000 s.f. building, and a personal guarantee from the two owners. The business is an auto and truck service and repair facility in Muscoda’s industrial park along State Highway 133. Three-four full-time jobs will be created. Motion by John Patcle, seconded by Mike Lieurance, to send the 3 Rings LLC Revolving Loan application to the full County Board recommending passage of this loan. Motion carried. Three dog claims from the Lancaster Veterinary Clinic were billed after February 15, 2017. Money had already been disbursed to municipalities. Grant County Corporation Counsel recommended paying the amount out of 2017 money. Motion by Mike Lieurance, seconded by Roger Guthrie, to pay the livestock claim in the amount of $600 and send to the full County Board. One no vote. Motion carried.
