EDUCATION/FAIR COMMITTEE MEETING

10:00 a.m.
The meeting was called to order by the Committee Chairman Roger Guthrie. Present in addition to
Guthrie was Bob Keeney, Mark Stead, Mike Lieurance, John Patele, Gary Northouse, Amy Olson, Steve
Braun, Nate Dreckman, Deb Reukauf, and Barb Larke, Amanda Cauffman, and Charisse Orth.
Barb reported that the carnival was up on Friday and turned their financial statement to Amy Olson. Amy
questioned Barb on the financial from the other days that the numbers did not match to what was given
last year. Barb will look into it with Cindy Dill.
Nate Dreckman reported there was a call at 3am for people hanging out under the Farm Bureau Tent
which ended up being carnival workers. Fie also had a few parking issues.
Deb Reukauf reported that they took someone in for smoking weed under the Wisconsin Bank & Trust
Entertainment Tent. She also mentioned that we need to make the "No Alcohol Past This Point" more
noticeable as they had people walking around with open intoxicates. Amy will look into getting sandwich
boards for next year and put them right in the walk way exiting the beer garden.
Steve Braun passed out the weather report and also reported that they had to take someone in for an
asthma attack.
Amanda Cauffinan reported the selling price on pigs went down and that the corrected price will be
posted and announced because programs have been printed.
Judging went well with nothing major to report.
Exhibits/Exhibitors — nothing to report at this time.
Grandstand events were discussed with pit area being wet yet for the pull tonight. Will see how it dries
out today before a decision is made on where to pit everyone tonight. Worked well on having the pits in
the parking area for last night's event.
