HomeMy WebLinkAbout08 Minutes August 19 2022 - FairAGRICULTURE AND EXTENSION EDUCATION/FAIR COMMITTEE MEETING Youth & Ag Center, Conference Room, Lancaster, WI Friday August 19, 2022 8:30 a.m. The meeting was called to order by Committee Chairman Pat Schroeder. Present in addition to Chairman Schroeder were Roger Guthrie, Gary Northouse, Joe Mumm, Kathy Kopp, Porter Wagner, Bob Keeney, Amy Olson, Lori Vesperman, Amanda Cauffman, Charisse Orth, Travis Klaas, Deb Reukauf, Steve Braun, Vince Heiman and Kathi Mead, Shonda Crapp, Colby Lull and Stacey Lull. The meeting notice was posted at the Administration Building, Extension Office and Youth & Ag Center and media by Amy Olson. Motion by Porter Wagner, seconded by Kathy Kopp, to approve the amended agenda. Motion carried. Carter Lull identified two pigs for the Fair. He only had one swine entry, but brought both pigs. The fairbook states any junior exhibitor’s swine on the grounds that was not identified/registered or entered by the deadline will go to market and the proceeds of this sale will go to the Grant County Fair. Carter had a buyer and processing plant location selected for the extra pig. Motion by Porter Wagner, seconded by Gary Northouse to require Carter to pay a $25 fee and continue with plans for the pig to go to the processing plant. The carnival report was given by Vince Heiman and Kathy Mead. Travis Klaas and Deb Reukauf gave their report. Steve Braun shared the weather report.
