HomeMy WebLinkAboutBoard Meeting Minutes-April 2018-APPROVEDAging & Disability Resource Center of Grant County Board Minutes April 20, 2018 The meeting was called to order by Chair Mary Lou Bausch at 9:00 a.m. at the ADRC Large Conference Room, 8820 HWY 35/61 South, Lancaster, Wisconsin. Attendance: Mary Lou Bausch, Joe Brayer, Steve Wetter, Robert Keeney, Dave Janney, Arnold Rawson, Vicki Hirsch, Lori Reid, Lester Jantzen, Dale Hood Others Present: Courtney Brookhart, Shane Drinkwater Compliance with Open Meeting Law: It was noted the meeting is in compliance with the open meeting act. (Published via website, radio, newspaper and posted at the Grant County Administration Building). Amended Agenda Approval: Janney/Hirsch: Motion to approve the amended agenda. Motion carried. Approval of Minutes: March 14, 2018 *Approve minutes after changing “not” to “now” in the Financial Report and Next Meeting Date to April 20, 2018. Wetter/Janney: Motion to approve March 14, 2018 minutes. Motion carried. Public Comment/Communication:  Introductions were done around the room for newly appointed County Board Supervisors.  Building Update: Keeney discussed the progress of construction. The projected finish date is November.  Volunteer Recognition: Reid stated Volunteer Week is the week of April 15-21. A Volunteer Recognition is being held at SWTC on April 30th for all of the agency’s volunteers and board members are welcome as well. Advocacy Reports or Activities:  ADRC Regional Board Meeting Report – Hirsch and Reid reported on what was presented at the regional meeting.  Nutrition Strategic Plan Committee Report – A roadmap report was distributed. Brayer discussed the process and where the committee currently is on the roadmap.  Aging Advocacy Day – May 16 – Reid discussed Aging Advocacy Day at the Capital.  Transportation Coordination Public Forum @ Admin Building – May 17 – Reid stated the forum has been rescheduled for May 10th and may be at a different location. When details are finalized, notices will be sent. Meal Cost Tool Reid handed out the Meal Cost Tool report. Meal costs have increased about $1.00 due to wage increases, food costs, fuel costs, and a small decrease in donations. Congregate meal cost is $10.86 and home delivered meal cost is $10.75. Approval of Vouchers: Rawson/Hirsch: Motion to approve the vouchers. Motion carried. Financial Report: Janney/Hirsch: Motion to approve financial report. Motion carried. Reports ADRC Grant County Director’s Report  Reid sent a letter to Iowa County detailing the timeline and reasons for discontinuing the provision of meals to the SUN program.  Staff members attended the Transition Night at Riverdale Schools and the Senior Expo in Belmont.  Ruth and Pam, Dementia Care Specialist, are offering a Powerful Tools for Caregivers workshop.  Meal site managers met on March 27 for continued training.  Reid discussed the surveys that are still being distributed to collect information for the Aging Plan. ADRC – Program Reports Reid went over the program reports. Wetter/Hirsch: Motion to adjourn. Motion carried. Next meeting: June 20, 2018
