HomeMy WebLinkAbout10 Board Meeting Minutes-October 2021-APPROVEDAging & Disability Resource Center of Grant County Board Minutes October 20, 2021 The meeting was called to order by Chair Dale Hood at 9:00 a.m. via a Zoom meeting. Attendance: Robert Keeney, Lori Reid, Lester Jantzen, Dale Hood, Pat Reynolds, Gary Kjos, Arnold Rawson, Vicki Hirsch, Others Present: Courtney Brookhart, Joyce Roling, Shane Drinkwater, Mike Bennett Excused: Rob Bell Compliance with Open Meeting Law: It was noted the meeting is in compliance with the open meeting act. (Published via website, radio, newspaper and posted at the Grant County Administration Building). Agenda Approval: Rawson/Kjos: Motion to approve the agenda. Motion carried. Approval of Minutes: September 15, 2021 Reynolds/Kjos: Motion to approve the September 15, 2021 minutes. Motion carried. Elect Chair and Vice Chair Keeney provided clarification that due to the vacancy of previous Chair VanDeWiel, Hood automatically becomes Chair. Hood opened nominations for Vice Chair. Jantzen nominated Rawson. No other nominations were cast. Kjos/Jantzen: Motion to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Rawson as Vice Chair. Motion carried. Public Comment/Communication: There was no public comment or communication. Advocacy Reports or Activities:  ADRC Regional Board Meeting Report – Hood stated that the last meeting was September 23. Most of the discussion was about additional funding to possibly hire another Dementia Care Specialist and normal business items.  Drive Through Elderfest – October 22, 2021 – Elderfest will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the Grant County Fairgrounds again this year. The Health Department is offering Covid, flu, pneumonia, and tetanus shots. ADRC will be providing apple cider donuts from Vesperman Farm and resources bags with information and giveaways from other vendors as well as some door prizes.  Public Hearing for Aging Plan – Reid stated the public hearings had no participants. Aging Plan Final Draft Reid made no changes to the Aging Plan since there were no comments or suggestions at the hearings. Jantzen/Kjos: Motion to approve the Aging Plan. Motion carried. Step Increase for Meal Site Manager Reid discussed that the Platteville Meal Site Manager position was being filled by two substitute managers since July. One of them has accepted the position. She was a manager previously at a Grant County site therefore there is no certification or training that has to be done. Reid asked to move her to Step 2 on the wage schedule retroactive to her start date. Reynolds/Kjos: Motion to approve starting new manager at Step 2 on the wage schedule. Motion carried. Approval of Vouchers: Reynolds/Kjos: Motion to approve the vouchers. Motion carried. Financial Report: Reynolds/Kjos: Motion to approve financial report. Motion carried. Reports ADRC Grant County Director’s Report  Part D will be done by the mail or phone this year  Reid has been collaborating with other counties on a virtual Caregiver Renewal Day presentation  Reid and Brookhart have started working on evaluations  Reid has been finalizing 2022 budget ADRC – Program Reports  Reid reviewed the programs Reynolds/Kjos: Motion to adjourn.
