He reviewed the state’s Dementia Plan and how they are trying to reach communities and help families and caregiver’s locally. Platteville Meal Site Relocation – Possible Use of Carryover Dollars or any other action Reid reviewed the situation with the Platteville Meal Site. While the Senior Center is moving into Platteville’s City Hall building, it does not seem feasible to fit in a one-room area for the meal site. Reid and Brookhart have looked at a couple other locations. The congregate service may be suspended until a more permanent place is established; Reid’s main focus is making sure there is a space to continue home-delivered meals in the meantime. Reid has reached out to a Platteville restaurant for the possibility of looking into a voucher program. Reid stated the initial carryover request was for the potential of remodeling in the Platteville City Hall building, but as that is no longer a reasonable solution, there is no need for a motion this month.
