MEMBERS PRESENT: Julee Albers, David Bauer, John Beinborn, Mel Masters,
Dwight Nelson, Mark Stead (Chair), Charles Stenner (Vice-Chair), Mike
Tiber, Ryan Walmer and Judy Friar (7:10).
EXCUSED/ABSENT MEMBERS: Mary Ellen Tredinnick, absent.
OTHERS PRESENT: Neal Blackburn, Jan Sudmeier and Nancy Schmitz
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: 7:02 p.m.; quorum present.
2. COMPLIANCE and MINUTES: John Beinborn moved to report meeting in
compliance with open meetings law, approval of agenda and approval
of the minutes of May 19, 2010, Board meeting. Minutes corrected
with addition of Dwight Nelson in others present. Motion seconded
by Ryan Walmer and passed.
3. BILLS: David Bauer moved approval for payment of the bills for May,
2010 as reviewed. Motion seconded by Mike Tiber and passed.
4. REPORTS: Financial report for May, 2010 given by Jan Sudmeier. No
Family Support Capital Acquisition purchases presented. Personnel
report for May, 2010 given by Jan Sudmeier. Becky Manning
unavailable for CSP Program Report. Chairman’s report: Introduced
new board members, Ryan Walmer, John Beinborn and Dwight Nelson.
Neal Blackburn presented the Director's report as follows:
a. Distributed article –Gov. Doyle: State may trim workers without
Federal Medicaid help.
b. UCS has been very prudent with financial. Working on long and
short term range planning. Working on upcoming budget.
c. Agency could radically change due to Family Care. Workers need
to be 100% dedicated. May have to hire full-time supervisor
for Children’s Long Term Support.
d. Services we provide are numerous and complicated. Neal will
provide an orientation for the new members.
e. Recertification of programs rescheduled for June 29th and 30th.
f. Grant County Public Participation scheduled for July 29th at
7:00 p.m. in the ADRC conference room.
g. Southwest Family Care Alliance Survey 2009 available.
h. Neal’s surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. Will be available on
a limited basis next week.
Charles Stenner moved to accept reports and place on file.
Motion seconded by Mel Masters and passed.
5. INTRODUCTIONS: None.
6. ADJOURNMENT: Dwight Nelson moved to adjourn at 7:34 p.m. Motion
seconded by Ryan Walmer and passed. Next meeting July 21, 2010 at
7:00 p.m., Unified Community Services, 200 W. Alona Lane,
Lancaster, Wisconsin.
