Alona Lane, Lancaster, Wisconsin MEMBERS PRESENT: Carol Beals, Ron Coppernoll, Nancy Howard, Amy Kite, Mel Masters, Justin O’Brien, Gary Ranum, Charles Stenner, Mike Tiber (Chair.), and Mary Ellen Tredinnick. MEMBER ABSENT: Judy Friar OTHERS PRESENT: Jeff Lockhart, Cheryl Knapp, Zack Armstrong, and Nancy Schmitz. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: 7:00 p.m.; quorum present. 2. OPEN MEETINGS LAW CERTIFICATION: A notice was published in the Herald Independent, stating the date, time and place of the Unified Community Services Board meeting. Notice was also posted in four public locations and on Grant and Iowa Counties websites. Verified by Nancy Schmitz. 3. CONSENT CALENDAR: Gary Ranum moved to approve the agenda and to approve the minutes of the August 15, 2018 Board meeting. Motion seconded by Nancy Howard and passed unanimously. 4. BILLS: Carol Beals moved approval for payment of the bills for August/September, 2018 as reviewed. Motion seconded by Mary Ellen Tredinnick and passed unanimously. 5. REPORTS: a) Financial report for August, 2018 given by Zack Armstrong. b) Personnel report for August, 2018 given by Cheryl Knapp. c) Personnel Committee Report given by Nancy Howard. d) Finance Committee Report given by Mike Tiber. e) Chairman’s report – None. f) Jeff Lockhart presented the Director's report as follows: i. Unified staff will have a table at the Fall Mental Health Summit on October 23rd from 9- 3:30 at U.W. Platteville. Gary Ranum and Carol Beals plan to attend the Mental Health Summit. Mel Masters asked if Jeff could make a presentation to the Iowa County Board. Jeff will call the Chairman. Ron Coppernoll moved to accept the reports and place them on file. Motion seconded by Mel Masters and passed unanimously. 6. INTRODUCTIONS AND PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. 7. CLOSED SESSION: None. 8. STAFFING: Carol Beals moved to approve a 40% part-time Information Technology position. Motion seconded by Nancy Howard and passed unanimously. 9. 2019 BUDGET: Budget reviewed with recommendations from Finance Committee. Substance Abuse Counselor position will not be filled at this time in order to balance budget. Increase wages to UNIFIED COMMUNITY SERVICES Wednesday, September 19, 2018 Page 2 staff will align with Grant County. Ron Coppernoll moved to approve the budget as proposed. Motion seconded by Mel Masters and passed unanimously. 10. ADJOURNMENT: Mary Ellen Tredinnick moved to adjourn at 7:42 p.m. Motion seconded by Charles Stenner and passed unanimously.
