MEMBERS PRESENT VIA Zoom: Carol Beals, Joan Davis, Justin O’Brien, and Gary Ranum
(Chair).
MEMBERS PRESENT VIA Zoom in office: Charles Stenner.
MEMBER EXCUSED: Mike Tiber.
OTHERS PRESENT VIA Zoom: Jeff Lockhart, Jan Sudmeier, and Cheryl Knapp.
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: 5:00 p.m.; quorum present.
2. OPEN MEETINGS LAW CERTIFICATION: A notice was published in the Herald
Independent, stating the date, time and place of the Finance Committee meeting. Notice was
also posted in four public locations, on Grant and Iowa Counties websites and sent to local
radio stations. Notice given that meeting will be conducted via electronic videoconferencing.

3. AGENDA: Justin O’Brien moved to approve the agenda. Motion seconded by Charles
Stenner and passed unanimously.
4. INTRODUCTIONS AND PUBLIC COMMENTS: None.
5. FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING 2021 BUDGET: Cheryl
Knapp reported on the Personnel Committee’s recommendations regarding personnel costs in
the 2021 budget. Jan Sudmeier reviewed the proposed 2021 budget with the committee. Joan
Davis moved to forward the 2021 draft budget as presented to the Unified Community
Services Board of Directors. Motion seconded by Justin O’Brien and passed unanimously.
6. ADJOURNMENT: Carol Beals moved to adjourn at 5:40 p.m. Motion seconded by Charles
Stenner and passed unanimously.
