GRANT COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER

The Grant County Emergency Management/Disaster Services Committee was called to order December 12, 2011 at 10:00
a.m. by Chairman John Patcle. The following members and personnel were present:
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT/DISASTER SERVICES COMMITTEE: Larry Wolf, Steve Adrian, Lester Jantzen,
Robert Scallon and Vincent Loeffelholz. Absent: Patrick Schroeder
GUESTS: Steve Braun, Emergency Government, Sheriff Keith Govier, Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Chief Deputy
Jack Johnson, Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Grant County Coroner Ron Sturmer, Kelly Bird, Grant County Sheriff’s
Department, Robert Middendorf, WGLR, Carla McAndrew, Grant County Maintenance Director and Julie Loeffelholz,
Recording Secretary.

Meeting was called to order by Chairman John Patcle.
Steve Braun verified the agenda has been posted by the County Clerk at the Administration Building, Courthouse, and also
on the county Website. Vince, second by Lester, motioned to approve the agenda as mailed. The minutes were approved in a
motion by Lester and second by Larry. All above motions carried.
The Monthly Director’s Report was given by Steve Braun.
Under Old Business Steve discussed AFG grants. The award process will soon start. Several Grant County departments
have preliminary award numbers which is a good sign. T hese awards are all for regional grants. One is the Simulcast
upgrade which was approved by the committee. The other is the training props grant for the technical college training site.
The third is for radios and pagers. We expect formal notification in the coming weeks.
Under New Business, Steve discussed the All-Hazard Mitigation plan update that is underway, and the timeline that will be
followed to update the plan.
Grants: No grants are being considered at this time.
Public Forum: None
Motion to approve bills by Steve, second by Robert. Motion Carried.
Motion by Vince, second by Larry to adjourn the meeting until January 09, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the lower level of the Law
Enforcement Center.
UPDATE: The meeting date was changed to Monday, January 23, 2012 at the same time, per Chairman John Patcle due to a
conflict with other meetings.
