GRANT COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER

The Grant County Emergency Management/Disaster Services Committee was called to order October 08, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
by Chairman Larry Wolf. The following members and personnel were present:

Scallon, Vincent Loeffelholz, Patrick Schroeder and Lester Jantzen
GUESTS: Steve Braun, Emergency Government, Sheriff Nate Dreckman, Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Chief
Deputy Jack Johnson, Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Captain Anthony Sheckles, Grant County Sheriff’s Department,
Ed Breitsprecker, Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Grant County Coroner Ron Sturmer, Kelly Bird, Grant County
Sheriff’s Department, Julie Loeffelholz, Recording Secretary.

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Larry Wolf.
Steve Braun verified the agenda has been posted by the County Clerk at the Administration Building, Courthouse, and also
on the county Website. Lester, second by John B, motioned to approve the agenda as mailed. The minutes were approved in
a motion by Pat and seconded by Vince. All above motions carried.
Director’s Monthly Report: Steve discussed the end of the fiscal year with work to be done for the State called the Plan of
Work. We have been busy tying up loose ends. We will be hosting an LEPC meeting in about three weeks.
Old Business: Hazard Mitigation Plan has been sent to the State. We have some concerns about which communities are
listed as being a part of the Flood Plain Insurance. We are working to clarify that. We will wait to see what WEM has to say
and then it can be sent to FEMA. It will go to the full county board once it has been approved by WEM and FEMA.
There is no new news regarding the recent AFG applications grants submitted by GCEM.
New Business:
Steve will be attending the WEMA conference October 17 and invited committee members to accompany him if they would
like. They should see him following the meeting. He will also be attending the All-Hand’s meeting at WEM on the 18th.
Grants: No grants are being considered at this time
Public Forum: No comments.
Motion to approve bills by John B, second by Lester. Motion Carried.
Motion by John B, second by Bob to adjourn the meeting until Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the lower level
of the Law Enforcement Center.
