Director’s Monthly Report: Steve passed a copy of a cover letter around from the closeout for the State to
draw down on funds we get to run a portion of the office. The closeout gives a six month overview of what
our activities have been in the office, related to the state's required Plan of Work for our department.
The radio grant project is continuing. Comelec has had a presence here almost every day and they have
been doing some testing with the system. They have had a simulcasting expert working with them over the
past week to help with the engineering. The new south tower is working great. You can hear the traffic
from the south in Lancaster and it is much stronger than the Sinsinawa tower ever was.
Steve gave an update of where the Platteville Tornado Recovery was at. The Platteville Tornado Fund
committee will be meeting again at the end of the month. The City of Platteville has submitted an
application to the Wisconsin Disaster Fund that is administered through the State of Wisconsin to recoup
most of the city's expenses that were not covered by insurance. At this time it appears as though the
application will be funded.
Boscobel’s Long Term Recovery Committee will be meeting October 29, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the upstairs of
Boscobel City Hall.
Over the winter months we will be updating the Emergency Operations Plan for Grant County. The goal is
to write it from the ground up and working with it over the winter.
Assistance to Firefighter Grants will be coming up soon. We will be writing those as soon as they open.
It was motioned by Bob second by Pat to adjourn until November 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Tonya White, Recording Secretary
