HomeMy WebLinkAbout08 August 9 2024 minutesGRANT COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR SELECTION COMMITTEE AUGUST 9, 2024 The Grant County Administrator Selection Committee met on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 7:45 a.m. at the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson Street, Lancaster, WI 53813 in Room 266, Second Floor. Members present: Robert Keeney, Kathy Kopp, Joseph Mumm, Gary Ranum and Roger Guthrie. Others present in the room were Tonya White and Jon Hockhammer. The meeting was called to order at 7:46 a.m. by Chairman Robert Keeney. The County Clerk, Tonya White verified the meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law, posted in the Administration Building, Courthouse and on the county website. Agenda: Kathy Kopp, second by Gary Ranum made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion carried by voice vote. Minutes: Roger Guthrie, second by Joseph Mumm made a motion to approve the minutes from the July 30, 2023 meeting. Motion carried by voice vote. Convene to closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. sec 19.85(1)(c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility as it relates to the County Administrator interviews: Gary Ranum, second by Kathy Kopp made a motion to convene to closed session. A roll call vote was taken with five (5) in favor of convening to closed session. Motion carried. Recess for Meet and Greet. The committee will recess to permit members to attend a candidate “meet and greet” activity which will be held in the Eckstein Building at the County Fairgrounds commencing at 12:30 p.m.: The committee recessed at 12:20 p.m. Reconvene for closed session. Upon the conclusion of the meet and greet, the Selection Committee will reconvene in Room 266 of the Grant County Administration Building and continue its closed session pursuant to the sec 19.85(1)(c) for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility; deliberation regarding selection of County Administrator: The committee reconvened to closed session at 2:15 p.m. with all members of the committee present. Return to Open Session: Gary Ranum, second by Roger Guthrie made a motion to return to open session at 5:45 p.m. Motion carried by voice vote. Action on Closed Session item, if any: Roger Guthrie, second by Joseph Mumm made a motion to direct PAA to proceed as instructed. Motion carried by voice vote. Adjournment: Kathy Kopp, second by Gary Ranum made a motion to adjourn. Motion carried by voice vote.
