August 28, 2021

Call to Order: Carol Beals, Chair called the meeting to order at 5:01pm.
Open Meeting Law Certification: The agenda was posted online, sent to the news media and
posted in county buildings.
Approval of Agenda: Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the agenda as posted, second by.
Mary Kay Logemann Carried
Approval of Minutes (07/27/2021): Porter Wagner made a motion to approve the minutes from the
July meeting as presented, second by Robert Scallon. Carried.
Vouchers: Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the vouchers for July, second by Mary Kay
Logemann. Carried.
Monthly Financial Reports: The monthly financial reports for July were reviewed. A discussion
occurred about the financial state of Home Nursing and Hospice. Discussions also occurred with the
Personnel Director and Finance Director. The situation in both programs will be monitored but no
immediate action was recommended. Greg Frey made a motion to approve the July Financial
Reports, second by Dwight Nelson. Carried.
Seminar and Training Updates: None.
COVID-19 Updates: A full report was given on COVID-19 cases in Grant County. A report was given
on community testing. An update on COVID-19 vaccine was given. A discussion on masking
occurred.
2022 Budget: The 2022 budget was reviewed. Changes need to be made due to action taken to and
communicated to the department an hour before the meeting. Robert Scallon made a motion to
approve the 2022 budget with an understanding of necessary changes, second by Porter Wagner.

Staffing Requests and Updates: LTE COVID-19 positions were re-posted. The PH RN position
was re-posted after a declined offer of employment.
Director’s Report: No formal report. A few questions were answered.
Assistant Director’s Report: Changes in Home Health rules were discussed.
Public Comments: The Board wanted to communicate that they appreciate the efforts of the Health
Department Staff
Adjournment: Dwight Nelson made a motion to adjourn, second by Greg Frey
Next meeting will be September 28, 2021 at 5:30pm.
