HomeMy WebLinkAbout12 BOH Minutes 120622 Grant County Board of Health December 6, 2022 5:30pm PRESENT: Carol Beals; Robert Keeney; Mary Kay Logemann; Jeff Kindrai; Amy Miller; Diane Nelson; Brian Lucey; Elias Cox; Dr. Neil Martin; Ashley Cleary; Grant County Herald Independent Absent: Brandon Snyder; Dr. Matt Andrews Call to Order: Diane Nelson called the meeting to order at 5:35pm. Open Meeting Law Certification: The agenda (and amended agenda) was posted online, sent to the news media and posted in county buildings. Approval of Agenda: Mary Kay Logemann made a motion to approve the agenda striking items five and six, second by Brian Lucey. Carried Approval of Minutes (10/25/2022): Brian Lucey made a motion to approve the minutes from the October meeting as presented, second by Mary Kay Logemann. Carried. Public Comments: Removed – None Crescent Community Health Center (Barb O'Hea) – Informational presentation: Removed – was asked to re-schedule. Vouchers Carol Beals made a motion to approve the vouchers for October, second by Mary Kay Logemann. Carried. Monthly Financial Reports: The monthly financial reports for October were reviewed. Brian Lucey made a motion to approve the October financial reports, second by Carol Beals. Carried. Seminar and Training Updates: The October updates were reviewed. Staffing Requests and Updates: Melissa Hill is starting as our Hospice Social Worker on December 27, 2022. Creation of a full time Physical Therapist position: Mary Kay Logemann made a motion to create and fill the full time Physical Therapist Position and to refer the matter to the Executive Committee for consideration, second by Dr. Neil Martin. Carried Permission to re-fill the Nursing Compliance & Quality Coordinator Position: Carol Beals made a motion to re-fill the Nursing Compliance & Quality Coordinator Position, second by Mary Kay Logemann. Carried Director’s Report: The Department is working with Unified Community Services and Dr. Martin to allow our nurses to carry Narcan. RSV and Influenza activity are high COIVD-19 cases are relatively stable. Testing and vaccination is being done from the GCHD office. Assistant Director’s Report: Some billing issues were noted with the contracted Home Nursing biller. Adjournment: Carol Beals made a motion to adjourn, second by Brian Lucey, Carried Next meeting will be February 28, 2023 at 5:30pm.
