PRESENT: Carol Beals; Robert Keeney; Mary Kay Logemann; Jeff Kindrai; Diane Nelson; Gary
Ranum; Rich Dhyanchand; Rick Sanson;
Absent: Dr. Neil Martin; Brian Lucey (excused)
Call to Order: Diane Nelson called the meeting to order at 5:30pm.
Open Meeting Law Certification: The agenda was posted online, sent to the news media and
posted in county buildings.
Approval of Agenda: Gary Ranum made a motion to approve the agenda, second by. Rich
Dhyanchand. Carried
Approval of Minutes (10/24/2023): Rick Sanson made a motion to approve the minutes from the
October meeting, second by Diane Nelson. Carried.
Public Comments: None
Vouchers Gary Ranum made a motion to approve the vouchers for October, second by Rich
Dhyanchand. Carried.
Monthly Financial Reports: The monthly financial reports for October were reviewed. Rick Sanson
made a motion to approve the financial reports, second by Rich Dhyanchand. Carried.
Seminar and Training Updates: The October updates were reviewed.
Discussion and Possible Action on Hemp Derivatives: A discussion occurred. Motion by Rick
Sanson to recommend that the Health Department offer a presentation of concerns regarding Hemp
Derivatives to the Law Enforcement Committee at a future meeting, second by Rich Dhyanchand.
Carried.
Staffing Requests and Updates: None
Director’s Report: In person WIC is picking up. Some work will likely be done in the Health
Department Conference Room to facilitate in person visits in our office. Approvals are being sought
from the State for the expenditure of existing 2023 contract funds.
Assistant Director’s Report: None
Adjournment: Gary Ranum made a motion to adjourn. Second by Diane Nelson. Carried
Next meeting will be February 27, 2024.
