Economic, Tourism and Resource Meeting Minutes
May 18, 2010
Present: John Beinborn, Carol Beals, Vince Loeffelholz, Vern Lewison, John Patcle, Grant Loy. Also
present was Ron Brisbois, Economic Development, Bill Biefer and Kyle Vesperman.
The Economic, Tourism and Resource Committee met on Tuesday, May 19, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. in Room
266 of the Administration Building, Lancaster, WI.
The meeting was called to order by Chair John Beinborn, John Patcle, seconded by Vern Lewison, made a
motion that the meeting was in compliance with open meeting law. Motion carried.
John Beinborn, seconded by Vern Lewison, made a motion to approve the agenda.
Vince Loeffelholz, seconded by Vern Lewison, made a motion to approve the minutes.
Revolving Loan application: the application for Pink’s Automotive was presented by Ron Brisbois,
Economic Development Director. The amount of the loan is for $40,000 for 10 years at 3%. Vern
Lewison, seconded by John Beinborn, made a motion to approve the loan. Motion carried. Ron Brisbois
stated that there is still $430,000 in the Revolving Fund.
Hidden Valley: A motion was made by Carol Beals, seconded by Vince Loeffelholz, to adjust the County
Board Members on the committee from 3 to 1; with 1 alternate. Grant Loy was appointed to be the
representative on the Hidden Valley Board and Vern Lewison will be the alternate. Motion carried.
Grant Program: First round of applicants were received and approved in January 2010. The second
round of applications will be due by July 1, 2010. Only completed grant applications will be considered.
This included required reports from previous grant recipients. The next review and approval of
applications will be held on July 8, 2010 at 1 p.m.
Kyle Vesperman gave a review of the grant application project and will assist Bryan Wood in the future
of this project, as needed.
Adjournment: Vince Loeffelholz, seconded b y Carol Beals, made a motion to adjourn the meeting; time
was 5:30 p.m. of adjournment. Motion carried.
