October 5, 2010
The Economic, Tourism and Resource Committee met on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 4:53p.m., Room
266 on second floor of the Administration Building in Lancaster, WI pursuant to the adjournment of the
August 17, 2010 meeting.
Members present: John Beinborn, Carol Beals, Vince Loeffelholz, Vern Lewison and Grant Loy. Todd
Johnson, Comm. Resource Development Agent and Ron Brisbois, Economic Development and John
Patcle were also present. Carol Beals had informed Chair John Beinborn that she may be late for the
meeting but the meeting could not start until a quorum was present.
The meeting was called to order by Chair John Beinborn. Vince Loeffelholz, seconded by Grant Loy,
moved that the meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law. Motion carried.
Vern Lewison, seconded by John Beinborn, made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Vince Loeffelholz, seconded by John Beinborn, made a motion to approve the minutes. Motion carried.
CGI Communication Agreement: Jeff Anderson, IT Director, reported to the committee on a tele-
conference call that took place with CGI Communications in May of 2010 with John Patcle, County Board
Chair, Jeff Anderson, IT Director and Linda Gebhard, County Clerk. CGI Communication is offering an
agreement to sign on with Grant County to produce a County Showcase Program video that would
represent what Grant County has to offer and publish out on the internet. The Agreement would be a 3
year contract at no cost to the county. Area businesses would be contacted to be Sponsors their
advertisements on the site which would pay for the cost of the site for Grant County. CGI would do all
the work to publish the video and they contact the sponsors. If Grant County chooses not to renew the
contract after three years, the web site is still free to the County because of the sponsorships. The
Public Property/Technology Committee has referred this on to this committee for their
recommendation. The committee watched a presentation by Jeff Anderson on the web site and how it
would function and look when it got published on the web. Vince Loeffelholz, seconded by Carol Beals,
made a motion to present this recommendation to the full county board to go forward with this project
and sign on with CGI to publish the video of Grant County. Motion carried.
Adjournment: Grant Loy, seconded by Carol Beals, made a motion to adjourn the meeting to the call of
the chair. Motion carried.
