August 20, 2013 @ 4:00 PM in Room 266 of the Grant County Administrative Building in Lancaster, WI
Committee Members Present: John B., Carol B., Robert S., Grant L., and Vern L.
Actions Taken:
1. John B. called the meeting to order.
2. Todd J. verified that the meeting was posted.
3. Motion to approve the agenda by Grant L.
a. Motion seconded by Vern L.
b. Motion passed.
4. Motion to approve the minutes by Grant L.
a. Motion seconded by Vern L.
b. Motion passed.
5. Ron Brisbois, Economic Development, presented the loan application for Gro Alliance of Cuba City for the loan amount of
$60,000 at 3% interest for 7 years.
a. Motion to approve the application by Robert S.
b. Motion seconded by Grant L.
c. Motion passed.
6. Presentation about the Grant County Tourism Council by Linda Parrish and Kathy Kopp. Also in attendance were Brian Stuart,
Denise Tolzman, and Patrick Reinsma. The presentation featured an overview of the Council’s history, mission, and activities. Brian
Stuart requested that the Council return in October to present a marketing plan to the Economic, Tourism & Resource Committee .
7. Discussion regarding Hidden Valleys and their request for payment.
a. Motion to approve payment by Carol B.
b. Motion seconded by Grant L.
c. Motion passed.
8. Old Business – Todd J. discussed the work being done on an economic impact report of tourism for Grant County. He hopes to
have the report completed in October.
9. New Business –Next meeting will take place in October. The meeting will feature a presentation by the Grant County Tourism
Council.
10. Motion to adjourn by Vern L.
