May 24, 2013 @ 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM in the Board Room of the Grant County Social Services office in Lancaster, WI
Committee Members Present: John B., Carol B., Robert S., Grant L., and Vern L.
Also Present: Todd Johnson.
Actions Taken:
1. John B. called the meeting to order.
2. Todd J. verified that the meeting was posted.
3. Motion to approve the agenda by Carol B.
a. Motion seconded by Grant L.
b. Motion passed.
4. Motion to approve the minutes by Grant L.
a. Motion seconded by Vern L.
b. Motion passed.
5. Regional Revolving Loan update. Ron Brisbois was not present, so no update occurred.
6. Approval of application for the Grant County Economic Development Corporation (GCEDC) Revolving Loan Fund.
a. Motion to approve the application by Carol B.
b. Motion seconded by Robert S.
c. Motion passed.
7. Approval of the 2013 Snowmobile Trails Resolution.
a. Motion to approve by Vern L.
b. Motion seconded by Carol B.
c. Motion passed.
8. Discussion about Tourism Grant Program. Committee suggested that the review date for the next grant cycle be chosen after the
July 16 County Board Meeting. Todd J. indicated that he would need a week to process the applications to have them ready for
review.
9. Public Comment-no comments made.
10. Old Business – Todd J. distributed the latest Hidden Valleys invoice. There was discussion regarding how many Hidden Valleys
booklets have yet to be distributed. Todd J. agreed to look into the matter and report back to the Committee.
11. New Business – Todd J. reminded Committee members of the Tourism Workshop that will be held at the Youth & Ag Center on
Tuesday, June 18 at 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM. Carol B. informed Committee members of Mark Cupp’s offer to give County Board
members a canoe ride using his historic replica of a “voyageur” canoe.
