Schwantes, Deputy Clerk, verified that the meeting was posted properly (Administrative Building, Courthouse, and the County’s website). Motion made by Vern Lewison to approve the amended agenda as posted, seconded by Robert Scallon. Motion carried. Motion made by Grant Loy, seconded by Robert Scallon to approve the minutes of the September 25, 2013 meeting. Motion carried. The Economics, Tourism & Resource Committee reviewed 2014A grant applications. After discussion, the following actions were taken: a. Committee Member Grant Loy motioned to award the following applicants: 1. $1,500 to Grant County Fairgrounds/Lancaster Chamber Commerce-Summer Fest 2. $700 to Fennimore Chamber of Commerce-Taste of Fennimore 3. $1,000 to Fennimore Doll & Toy Museum-Advertising 4. $2,500 to Friends of the Platte River-Build a Canoe landing & disabled access fishing facility near County B in Harrison Township 5. $1,085 to Grant County Historical Society-Advertising 6. $500 to Grant County Tourism Council-Advertising 7. $2,500 to Hillbilly Hustle-Start up money 8. $1,500 to Platteville Human Powered Trails-Expand trail system 9. $500 to Platteville Driftbusters-Promoting race 10. $1000 to Stonefield Historic site-Great River Road Festival 11. $800 to Stonefield Historic site-Railroad Days 12. $1000 to Stonefield Historic site-School Field Trips 13. $1000 to Stonefield Historic site-Wild West Steampunk Festival Motion was seconded by Vern Lewison. Motion carried. Motion made by Carol Beals to fund Grant County Economic Development (GCEDC) for $28,924.00, seconded by Robert Scallon. Motion carried. Old Business-None New Business-Next round of applications due July 10th; possible discussion item, “establishing in-kind value.” Motion to adjourn made by Robert Scallon, seconded by Carol Beals; meeting adjourned at 5:10 p.m. Karla K.
