The Economic, Tourism & Resource Committee met on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in Room 266 of the
Administration Building in Lancaster, WI. The meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m. by Carol Beals.
Committee Members present were Carol Beals, Grant Loy, Bob Scallon, Dan Timmerman, John Beinborn
and County Board Chairman Bob Keeney. Also present were Ron Brisbois, Darlene Mickelson, Joseph
Giertych, Jeff Curry, Mary Davis, Denise Deaton-Tolzman, Connie Neal, Amy Bell Kwallek, Amy Olson,
Linda Parrish, Kathy Kopp, Brian Stuart, Dan Mulder and Lori Vesperman. John Beinborn left at 2:20 p.m.
Lori Vesperman, UW-Extension, verified the meeting had been posted in the Administrative Building,
Courthouse, Youth & Agriculture Center and on the County's website.
Motion made by John Beinborn to approve the agenda as posted, seconded by Bob Scallon. Motion
carried.
Motion made by Dan Timmerman, seconded by John Beinborn, to approve the minutes of the meeting
held February 9, 2016. Motion carried.
Dan Mulder from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation was present to discuss Grant County
displaying promotional tourism information in the Wisconsin/Iowa Visitor Center. There would be no
fee. He will share a draft Memorandum of Understanding for review. He will also share a link for tourist
information grants.
General discussion was held on the Tourism Resource Committee Grant.
Motion by Dan Timmerman, seconded by John Beinborn, to adjourn until call of the Chair. Motion
carried.
