PARK COMMITTEE MINUTES
AUGUST 18, 2009
The Park Committee of the Grant County Board of Supervisors met in the Grant County Administration
Building, Room 201, Lancaster, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 4:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order be Chair, Ivan Farness. Al Jansen, seconded by Vern Lewison, made a
motion that the meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law. Motion carried.
Members present were Ivan Farness, Allen Jansen, DuWayne Carlin, Vern Lewison, and Bill Biefer. Also
present was Paul Thares, Comm. Resource Development Agent and John Patcle, County Board Chair.
Al Jansen, seconded by Vern Lewison, made a motion to approve the agenda as published. Motion
carried.
Ivan Farness, seconded by DuWayne Carlin, made a motion to approve the minutes. Motion carried.
Al Jansen and Bill Biefer reported on the decision of the Wisconsin Waterways Commission on the grant
for Wyalusing Boat Landing. Paul Thares informed the committee what the next step is in the grant
process.
Discussion of Launching Fees: It was decided to talk to Sheriff Keith Govier and invite him to the next
meeting. Also to check with Jo-Ann Millhouse, Corporation Counsel, on an ordinance for launching fees.
Further discussion was on which boat landing will have launching fees.
Al Jansen, seconded by Ivan Farness, made a motion to adjourn the meeting and calling the next
meeting for September 10, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Motion carried.
