The Park Committee of the Grant County Board of Supervisors met in the Grant County Administration
Building, Room 266 on Second Floor of the Administration Building, Lancaster, WI pursuant to the
adjournment of the October 6, 2009 meeting.
The meeting was called to order by Chair, Ivan Farness. Al Jansen seconded by Ivan Farness, made a
motion that the meeting was in compliance with open meeting law. Motion carried.
Motion by Bill Biefer, seconded by DuWayne Carlin to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Members present were Ivan Farness, Allan Jansen, DuWayne Carlin and Bill Biefer. Also present was
John Patcle, County Board Chair; and Paul Thares.
Mindy Krantz asked permission to have a small party at the Wyalusing Parking Lot. Bill Biefer was to
check to see if there is an electrical outlet in the parking lot. Motion by Allan Jansen, seconded by
DuWayne Carlin to OK the party after checking with Corporation Counsel. Motion carried.
Sign Replacement at Boat Landing: Bill Biefer was to check with Riverdale and Lancaster High Schools;
John Patcle was to check with Cassville and Potosi High Schools if their Tech Ed Departments would be
available to help with this project.
Discuss to call Launching Fee a “Parking with Trailer Fee”: Motion by Allan Jansen, seconded by Ivan
Farness to call the fee a “Parking with Trailer Fee”. Motion carried.
Motion by Allan Jansen, seconded by Ivan Farness to have a $30.00 fine for parking without a permit.
Discuss to name the new boat launch after “Bud Biefer”: Motion by Ivan Farness, seconded by Allan
Jansen to name the board launch the “Bud Biefer Boat Launch”, motion carried with Bill Biefer
abstaining.
Discuss of the Grant County Outdoor Recreation Plan: Motion by Bill Biefer, seconded by Ivan Farness to
agree with the goals and objective set up in the plan. Motion carried.
Other Boat Landing Information: Wyalusing Boat Landing bids are ready to send out. Motion by
DuWayne Carlin, seconded by Allan Jansen to send bids out. Motion carried.
Waiting to hear back from UW-Platteville regarding repairs to O’Leary dock.
Starting date for employees discussed.
Adjournment: John Patcle, seconded by DuWayne Carlin, made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Motion carried.
