September 20, 2011
The Park Committee of the Grant County Supervisors met on September 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at
the Administration Building, Lancaster, WI, pursuant to the last meeting of June 29, 2011.
Ivan Farness, Chair called the meeting to order, verification was made that the meeting was in
compliance with the open meeting laws, published in the Herald Independent and posted in two
places.
Members present: Ivan Farness, Vern Lewison, Donald Splinter and Robert Scallon. John
Patcle, County Chair, River Access employees, Randy Hamann and Richard Wilkinson were
also present.
Robert Scallon, seconded by Don Splinter, made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion
carried.
Wyalusing Boat Landing: Committee was instructed by Randy Hamann and Richard Wilkinson
on some of the issues of the Wyalusing Boat Landing. They asked that Randy contact Scenic
Rivers to set the lighting up automatically so the lights can be turned of in the off season.
Signage was discussed as to where to place and the wording for directions and warnings. The
boat landing has been black topped by the Highway Department which has helped some of the
pot holes due to high water all summer. Better cost effective methods for up keep for this boat
landing were discussed for the future. There is going to be a sand depositing issue in the future
because of the flow of the water, this was discussed.
Robert Scallon, seconded by Vern Lewison, made a motion to contact the Highway Department
to check our where and when signs can be placed. Motion carried.
Adjournment: Vern Lewison, seconded by Don Splinter, made a motion to adjourn the meeting
pursuant to the call of the Chair. Motion carried.
