PARK COMMITTEE MINUTES
March 18, 2014
The Park Committee of the Grant County Supervisors met on March 18, 2014 at 8:19 a.m. in Room 143
on first floor of the Administration Building, Lancaster, WI, pursuant to the last meeting of September 9,
2013.
Donald Splinter, Vice Chairman called the meeting to order.
Verification was made by the County Clerk, Linda Gebhard that the meeting was in compliance with the
open meeting law, published in the Herald Independent, posted in two places and on the county
website.
Members present: Donald Splinter, Gary Ranum, Roger Guthrie, and Dale Hood. Also present were
Larry Wolf, County Board Chair and Randy Hamann, River Access Employees.
Agenda: Roger Guthrie, seconded by Gary Ranum, made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion
carried.
Minutes: Gary Ranum, seconded by Dale Hood, made a motion to approve the minutes of September 9,
2013. Motion carried.
Vote to combine the committees for Parks and Highway: The Parks committee met before the County
Board of Supervisor Meeting to establish a recommendation to take before the full board regarding
combining the Parks Committee and Highway Committee. Previously the Highway Committee had
voted against combining the committees.
Gary Ranum, seconded by Roger Guthrie made a motion to send a recommendation to the full County
Board to combine the Parks Committee with the Highway Committee. A voice vote was taken resulting
in:
Dale Hood NO
Don Splinter NO
Gary Ranum YES
Roger Guthrie YES
Therefore the motion failed.
Adjournment: Roger Guthrie, seconded by Dale Hood, made a motion to adjourn the meeting to the call
of the chair. Motion carried.
