HomeMy WebLinkAbout3-26-10 PZ minutesGRANT COUNTY PLANNING & ZONING MINUTES OF THE MARCH 26, 2010 MEETING The County Planning & Zoning meeting was called to order on March 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. by Chairman Gene Bartels in the Grant County Health room (#253) of the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson St, Lancaster. Members present Al Jansen, Dwight Nelson, Lester Jantzen, Dave Klar, Hans Kostrau, Rodney Johnson, and Chairman John Patcle Hans Kostrau made a motion that the meeting is in compliance with the open meeting law, seconded by Lester Jantzen. Motion carried. Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Rodney Johnson. Motion carried. Hans Kostrau made a motion to approve the February 26, 2010 minutes, seconded by Rodney Johnson. Motion carried. Public Hearings-Zoning Amendments: none Unclassified Land Use Review: none Conditional Use Permit: Milestone Materials Co. applying for a Conditional Use Permit for the Zart Quarry in Mt Ida Township Section 7 T6N R3W. Mt Ida Township Chairman said that no one opposed of the quarry. Hans Kostrau made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit for 5 years and follow the Grant County Zoning Ordinance in reference to Sec. 3.27 (c) , seconded by Lester Jantzen. Motion carried. Other Business brought before the Board: Terry gave and up date on the problem with a berm in Burton. At this time, Austin Eng. has done a survey of the property but the Zoning office has not received the survey. No action taken at this time. Bills & Vouchers: Al Jansen made a motion to approve the bills & vouchers, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried. Land Use Plan: Todd Johnson from the SW Regional Planning showed a map of Grant County for the Land Use plan. At this time the township need to go over the maps that are draw out and color code on the areas that show the different zoning and the farmland. Rodney Johnson made a motion to adjourn the meeting sine-die, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried Treat where served to the Zoning Board member as a Thank You for being on the Board.
