GRANT COUNTY SANITATION & ZONING
NOVEMBER 18, 2011 Meeting
The County Planning & Zoning & Sanitation meeting was called to order on November 18, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. by
Chairman Lester Jantzen in the Grant County Board Room (#264) of the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson St,
Lancaster.
Planning & Zoning & Sanitation Board member present Lester Jantzen, Steve Adrian, John Beinborn, and Dwight Nelson.
Absent Bob Keeney, Pat Schroeder and John Patcle.
Dwight Nelson made and motion, seconded John Beinborn to approve the Agenda. Motion carried.
Steve Adrian made a motion to approve the September 22 and October 4, 2011 minutes, seconded by Dwight Nelson.
Motion carried.

Public Hearing-Zoning Amendments: none

Conditional Use Permit:
Milestone Materials requesting a Conditional Use Permit for the following quarries #11-8-Freese & #11-9-Hogan Quarry
in Jamestown Township, #11-10-Anderson Quarry in Platteville Township, #11-11-Adametz Quarry in Wingville
Township.
Platteville & Jamestown township approved the Conditional Use Permit for the quarry in there township. No minutes
from Wingville Township.
John Beinborn made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit for Freese Quarry for 5 years, seconded by Dwight
Nelson. Motion carried.
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit for Hogan Quarry for 5 years, seconded by Steve
Adrian. Motion carried.
Steve Adrian made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit for Anderson Quarry for 5 years, seconded by John
Beinborn. Motion carried.
John Beinborn made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit for Adametz Quarry for 5 years, seconded by Steve
Adrian. Motion carried.
#11-12- No action at this time for the Conditional use Permit for the Cemetery in Mt Hope Township.
Land Use Plan:
Steve Adrian made a motion to approve the changes in the Comprehensive Plan for Jamestown Township from Exclusive
Ag to Commercial C-2 on certain property in Sec 28, seconded by John Beinborn. Motion carried.
Steve Adrian made a motion to approve the changes in the Comprehensive Plan for Ellenboro Township from Exclusive
Ag to Agriculture A-2 on certain property in Sec 34, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
No action was taken at this time for Clifton & Potosi Map approval for Farmland Preservation

Sanitary Permit Summary:
Steve Adrian made a motion to approve the Sanitary Permit Summary, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
Outstanding Order/Compliance:
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the Outstanding Order, seconded by Steve Adrian. Motion carried.
Bills & Vouchers:
Steve Adrian made a motion to approve the Bills & Vouchers, seconded by John Beinborn. Motion carried.
Other business brought before the Board:
Helmuth Krause had question on a zoning permit that was issued in 1999 that involved a 30’ easement between Joe
Vosberg the buyer and Mr. Krause. At this time Mr. Krause is having problem with gates and fencing between him and
the buyer. After a length discussion the board recommended to send it to the Executive Committee for discuss and have
the County Attorney Todd Infield there. Also contact Mr. Vosberg for this meeting.
Steve Adrian made a motion to have this put on the Executive Committee agenda for December 13, seconded by John
Beinborn. Motion carried.
Meeting, adjourn until December 15 at 9:00 in the County Conference RM 266.
