GRANT COUNTY SANITATION & ZONING
June 16, 2011 Meeting
The County Planning & Zoning meeting was called to order on June 16, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Lester Jantzen in
the Grant County Conference Room (#266) of the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson St, Lancaster.
Planning & Zoning Board member present Lester Jantzen, Steve Adrian, Pat Schroeder, Dwight Nelson, John Beinborn,
and Bob Keeney. Absent John Patcle.
Motion was made and seconded the approval of the changes to the Agenda, motion carried.
John Beinborn made a motion to approve the May 19, 2011 minutes, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.

Public Hearing-Zoning Amendments:
Scott & Jona Austin with drew the rezone.

Land Use Plan:
Flood Plain Ordinance was given to the County Atty. Todd Infield for review.
Terry reported that there was 3 Townships left to check the Maps, at there Townships meeting.

Conditional Use Permit:
Dennis Yoose asking for a rezone for a Tourist lodging and camping for over night guest.
The township approved the Conditional Use Permit for 2 years.
Question where asked about the neighboring property, camping, easements and access to property.
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit for 2 years, seconded by John Beinborn. Motion
carried.
Joe Cogan is requesting his rezone fee be returned to him since there was no decision by the County. His rezone was
started back in November 2008 and tabled by zoning committee and withdrawn by Mr. Cogan at the March 2009 meeting.
Steve Adrian made a motion to give Mr. Cogan until the August 16 to file the rezone, seconded by Bob Keeney. Motion
carried.
Sanitary Permit Summary:
Bob Keeney made a motion to approve the Sanitary Permit Summary, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
Outstanding Order/Compliance:
Steve Adrian made a motion to approve the Outstanding Order, seconded by Pat Schroeder. Motion carried.
Bills & Vouchers:
Other business brought before the Board:
Add to the July Agenda policy for rezone fees.
Discussion about Campground and letters received.
Steve Adrian made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by John Beinborn. Motion carried.
Next meeting is Thursday July 21, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.

Zoning Fees:
1. If a zoning request pulled before public hearing, $200.00 fee will be kept for publication and
office fees, $200.00 returned to owner.
2. If rezoned is pulled before publication the $400.00 fee returned.
3. If the request is tabled and brought back before the end of the board term is up, no addition fee
would be charged.
