GRANT COUNTY SANITATION & ZONING
SEPTEMBER 22, 2011 Meeting
The County Planning & Zoning & Sanitation meeting was called to order on September 22, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. by
Chairman Lester Jantzen in the Grant County Board Room (#264) of the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson St,
Lancaster.
Planning & Zoning & Sanitation Board member present Lester Jantzen, Steve Adrian, Pat Schroeder, Dwight Nelson,
John Beinborn, Bob Keeney and John Patcle.
Dwight Nelson made and motion, seconded Pat Schroeder to approve the Agenda. Motion carried.
John Beinborn made a motion to approve the August 18, 2011 minutes, seconded by Steve Adrian. Motion carried.

Public Hearing-Zoning Amendments: none

Conditional Use Permit:
#11-7-Bard Materials requesting a Conditional Use Permit for Schneider Quarry in South Lancaster Township.
The township approved the Conditional Use Permit for 5years on August 10, 2011.
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit for 5 years, seconded by John Patcle. Motion carried.
Land Use Plan:
Pat Schroeder made a motion to table the (#466) Ordinance until October 4 at 5:45 p.m., seconded by John Beinborn.
Motion carried.
Jamestown Comprehensive Plan – No action at this time.
County Comprehensive Plan – No action at this time.

Sanitary Permit Summary:
Steve Adrian made a motion to approve the Sanitary Permit Summary, seconded by John Beinborn. Motion carried.
Outstanding Order/Compliance:
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the Outstanding Order, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
Bills & Vouchers:
John Patcle made a motion to approve the Bills & Vouchers, seconded by Bob Keeney. Motion carried.
Bob Keeney made a motion to approve the 2012 Budget, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
Other business brought before the Board:
Terry informed the Board member that there had been question on the washed stone that the plumbers where using for the
septic system. There are three quarries that the plumber can get the stone at, Milestone in Fennimore, Dillman in Prairie
du Chien, and River City Stone a division of Mathy in Dubuque.
Helmuth Krause had question on a zoning permit that was issued prior to 2001 that involved and easement between the
buyer and seller. After a length discussion the board recommends that it be put on the October 27, 2011 meeting for more
discussion.
Meeting, adjourn until October 27, at 9:00.
