GRANT COUNTY SANITATION & ZONING
September 13, 2012 Meeting
The County Planning & Zoning & Sanitation meeting was called to order on September 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. by co-chair
Bob Keeney in the Grant County Board room of the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson St, Lancaster.
Zoning & Sanitation Board members present Bob Keeney, Dwight Nelson, Grant Loy, Dale Hood, Roger Guthrie, Pat
Schroeder and County Board Chairman Larry Wolf, absent Lester Jantzen.
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded Grant Loy. Motion carried.
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the June 21and August 16, 2012 minutes, seconded by Roger Guthrie. Motion
carried.
Comprehensive Map Changes: none
Rezones:
#473-Harvey Kruser in Sec 1 Potosi Township rezoning 12.618ac from Exclusive Ag to Agriculture A-2 for a single
family dwelling. Township approved the rezone on August 6, 2012 meeting.
Pat Schroeder made a motion to close the hearing, seconded by Grant Loy. Motion carried.
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the rezone and send to the full County Board for approval, seconded by Dwight
Nelson. Motion carried.
#474-Stone Trust Dated 3/11/91 in Sec. 18, Platteville Township rezoning 8.69ac from Exclusive Ag. to Agriculture A-2
for a single family dwelling. Township approved the rezone on July 9, 2012.
Pat Schroeder made a motion to close the hearing, seconded by Roger Guthrie. Motion carried.
Dale Hood made a motion to approve the rezone and send to the full County Board for approval, seconded by Dwight
Nelson. Motion carried.
Conditional Use Permits:
#12-13-B&B Farms request for conditional use permit for a cell tower on his property in Sec 19 of Potosi Township
Peter Schaw from the company spoke on the high and location of tower. Pat Schroeder asked if any other company could
add to the tower. And yes they can.
Tom Lyons neighbor was wondering why he did not get a notice from the Township when they had there meeting about
the tower. He needed to contact the township for more information on there meeting notices.
Potosi Township approved the conditional use permit on September 10, 2012.
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
#12-14-Long Branch Trust or Mitch & Beth Hochhausen request for a conditional use permit for a single family dwelling
in Paris Township in Sec 19.
Paris Township approved the conditional use permit on September 12, 2012.
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit, seconded by Bob Keeney. Motion carried.
Budget:
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the 2013 Budget and send to the Finance committee for approval, seconded by
Roger Guthrie. Motion carried.
Sanitary Permit Summary:
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the Sanitary Permit Summary, seconded by Dale Hood. Motion carried.
Outstanding Order/Compliance:
Bob Keeney made a motion to approve the Outstanding Order, seconded by Grant Loy. Motion carried.
Bills & Vouchers:
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the Bills & Vouchers, seconded by Grant Loy. Motion carried.
Pat Schroeder made a motion to adjourn the meeting until October 18, at 9:00 a.m., seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion
