GRANT COUNTY SANITATION & ZONING
March 21, 2013 Meeting
The County Planning & Zoning & Sanitation meeting was called to order on March 21, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman
Lester Jantzen in the Grant County Board room of the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson St, Lancaster.
Zoning & Sanitation Board members present Lester Jantzen, Dwight Nelson, Pat Schroeder, Grant Loy, Roger Guthrie,
Bob Keeney and County Board Chairman Larry Wolf. Excused absent Dale Hood.
Grant Loy made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the February minutes, seconded by Roger Guthrie. Motion carried.
Comprehensive Map Changes:
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the Comprehensive plan change for Thomas & Jemima Swarey from Exclusive
Ag to Commercial C-1 of 17.16ac in Hickory Grove for a Commercial wood working business, seconded by Grant Loy.
Motion carried.
Rezone:
#477-Lloyd & Debra Droessler in Sec 32 in Paris Township rezoning 17.90ac from Exclusive Ag-EAZ to Agriculture A-
2 for a single family dwelling.
Roger Guthrie made a motion to approve the rezone and send to the full County Board for approval, seconded by Dwight.
Motion carried.
#478- Steve Argall in Sec. 35 in Liberty Township rezoning 5.78ac form Exclusive Ag-EAZ to Agriculture A-1 for a
single family dwelling.
Bob Keeney made a motion to approve and send to the full County Board for approval, seconded by Grant Loy. Motion
carried.
Conditional Use Permit:
Hickory Grove Township approved the Conditional Use Permit on February 12, 2013 for Jim Tollefson for a single family
home in the Exclusive Ag, in Section 25 of Hickory Grove.
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the Conditional Use Permit, seconded by Bob Keeney. Motion carried.
Sanitary Permit Summary:
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the Sanitary Permit Summary, seconded by Grant Loy. Motion carried.
Outstanding Order/Compliance:
Roger Guthrie made a motion to approve the Outstanding Order, seconded by Bob Keeney. Motion carried.
Bills & Vouchers:
Pat Schroeder made a motion to approve the Bills & Vouchers, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
Grant Loy made a motion to go into closed session under 19.85 (1) (c) seconded by Dwight Nelson. Roll call vote
was taken 6 in favored to go into closed session. Motioned carried.
Roger Guthrie made a motion to come out of closed session, seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
Bob Keeney made a motion to adjourn seconded by Grant Loy. Motion carried.
